Discussion and process underway: Paras Khadka

KATHMANDU: Following the Patan High Court’s exoneration of Nepali leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane in a rape case on Wednesday, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has commenced the process to lift his suspension.

Secretary of the association, Paras Khadka, confirmed to Khabarhub that discussions and procedures to revoke Lamichhane’s suspension are currently underway.

“Once his suspension is lifted, Lamichhane will be eligible to join Nepal’s ICC T20 World Cup squad,” Khadka further elaborated.

Previously, CAN had suspended Lamichhane on Paush 26, 2080, after the Kathmandu District Court convicted him in the aforementioned rape case.
