Rainfall likely in five provinces, including Bagmati



KATHMANDU: Nepal is currently experiencing the influence of local air, westerly winds, and a low-pressure system formed around Bihar in India, the Weather Forecast Division has said.

As per the Division’s assessment, the weather remains mostly clear in the hilly areas of the country, encompassing Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces, along with the rest of the Terai region.

This afternoon, the hilly areas are expected to be partly to mostly cloudy.

There’s a possibility of rainfall accompanied by thunder and gusty winds in some locations of the Koshi Province and the hilly areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces.

Additionally, there’s a chance of light snowfall at a few spots in the high hills and Himalayan areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

Tonight, the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali are forecasted to be partly cloudy.

There remains a possibility of light snowfall in one or two locations in the high hills and Himalayan areas of these regions.
