ACC Premier Cup: Hong Kong sets Nepal a target of 115 runs



KATHMANDU: In the ongoing ACC Premier Cup Cricket in Oman, Hong Kong has set Nepal a target of 115 runs.

Having lost the toss and batting first at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground (Ministry Turf 1), Hong Kong managed to score 114 runs in 17 overs, losing all wickets.

Hong Kong’s Anshe Rath scored the highest with 34 runs. Nepal’s Abinash Bohara took 3 wickets, Lalit Rajbanshi and Dipendra Singh Airee took 2 each, while Karan KC took 1 wicket. Due to adverse weather conditions, the game was interrupted in the 18th over.

Nepal, having won both of its previous matches, leads Group ‘A’ at the top of the points table.

Hong Kong, having won one match, is in fourth place.

Currently, Malaysia and Qatar are playing in Group ‘A’.

Similarly, under Group ‘B’, Oman -UAE, and Bahrain- Kuwait are competing 4.45 pm today.

Nepal is placed in Group ‘A’ of the ACC Premier Cup.

In this group, Nepal is joined by Hong Kong, Malaysia, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.

Similarly, Group ‘B’ consists of Bahrain, Cambodia, Kuwait, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals, and the winner of the final will earn the opportunity to play in the Asia Cup.
