Rain likely in Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces



KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has reported that the weather in Nepal is currently influenced by both westerly and local winds.

The Division has noted that the weather has been partly cloudy to mostly clear in the hilly areas of the country, particularly in Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Gandaki provinces.

Some areas in the hilly regions of Gandaki Province are currently experiencing light rain with thunder and lightning.

Throughout the afternoon, the weather will generally remain clear in the hilly areas of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

In contrast, the rest of the provinces will experience cloudy weather.

There is a potential for light rain with thunder and lightning in some parts of the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, and possibly in a couple of places in the rest of the hilly regions.

After noon, storms are likely in some parts of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Additionally, light snowfall may occur in one or two locations in high hills and Himalayan areas.

Tonight, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy in the hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

A few areas in the hilly regions of Karnali province may experience light rain with thunder and lightning, while one or two places in the high hills and Himalayan areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali regions could see light snowfall.
