Lawmaker KC demands repatriation of injured Nepalis in Russia-Ukraine War



KATHMANDU: Former Deputy Prime Minister and lawmaker Chitra Bahadur KC has demanded the repatriation of Nepalis injured in the Russia-Ukraine war.

During the ongoing session of the House of Representatives on Friday, KC urged the government to take the initiative to repatriate the bodies of Nepalis killed and injured in the conflict.

“Currently, Nepali youths are injured and dying in Russia and Ukraine. In this regard, the government should take the initiative to repatriate them,” he said, emphasizing, “Failure to do so leaves citizens without guardianship, and the state should fulfill the role of guardian.”
