PM Dahal receives Gold Smuggling Probe Commission Report, urges swift action against culprits

KATHMANDU: Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane presented the findings of the Gold Smuggling Probe Commission to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Friday.

The meeting took place at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar, where Minister Lamichhane handed over the report.

In response, PM Dahal directed Minister Lamichhane to ensure that individuals involved in the smuggling, as well as those who aided the perpetrators and officials found to have been negligent during the investigation, face appropriate consequences.

The probe commission had delivered the report to Minister Lamichhane on Thursday.

Following the handover, Minister Lamichhane reiterated his commitment to taking strong actions against those responsible for gold smuggling.
