KATHMANDU: Negotiations with microfinance victims who have been protesting are edging closer to a resolution.

The discussions, spearheaded by a team led by Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Narayan Prasad Risal, commenced on Thursday evening and are set to continue on Friday morning.

Despite efforts to reach an agreement on Thursday, the meeting was adjourned to Friday at the request of the microfinance victims, as stated by the Private Secretariat of Finance Minister Barshman Pun.

During the discussions, the team deliberated on the measures taken by the Nepal Rastra Bank to address the grievances of microfinance victims, as well as other demands put forth by the protestors.
