National Assembly meeting taking place today



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the National Assembly (NA) is taking place at the Federal Parliament Building in New Baneshwor today.

The meeting is scheduled to commence at 11 am.

According to the Secretariat of the Federal Parliament, today’s agenda includes the briefing by the newly-elected Chairman of the National Assembly, Narayan Prasad Dahal, regarding the contents of the letter received from the President’s office regarding ministerial appointments and assignments.

In addition, Finance Minister Barshman Pun is expected to present a motion for the consideration of the ‘Secure Transactions (First Amendment) Bill 2080’.

Furthermore, the meeting is likely to outline the potential continuation of discussions on the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill for 2081-82 BS.
