Regressive elements attempting to exploit atmosphere of discontent: Speaker Ghimire



BIRATNAGAR: Speaker of the House of Representatives, Devraj Ghimire, has highlighted concerns about reactionaries attempting to manipulate the current atmosphere of discontent, expressing the need for unity among political parties and citizens to counteract this agenda.

Speaking with the media at Biratnagar Airport on Thursday, Speaker Ghimire emphasized the importance of political parties and citizens confronting the efforts to sow discord and progressing towards a more positive direction.

He underscored the existing unity among political parties in steering the country towards prosperity, emphasizing that collaboration is crucial for the nation’s well-being.

Addressing the recent disillusionment with the system and political parties, Speaker Ghimire stated, “To counter their attempts to play in the atmosphere of hatred, political parties and citizens alike must remain resolute and move forward.”

Additionally, Speaker Ghimire acknowledged the government’s gradual efforts to empower Parliament, indicating a positive shift in the allocation of responsibilities.
