ICC CWC League 2 commences today, Nepal to face Namibia



KATHMANDU: The ICC CWC League 2 kicks off today in Kathmandu, with Nepal gearing up to clash with Namibia.

The inaugural match will take place at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kathmandu, starting at 9:30 am local time.

These fixtures serve as crucial stepping stones towards the ICC World Cup slated for 2027.

Nepal is the proud host of the ICC Men’s CWC League 2, scheduled from February 15th to February 25th at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground.

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) had earlier announced the team lineup and match schedules.

However, following the recently concluded Bilateral ODI Series against Canada, CAN has made adjustments to the Nepali squad.

In the revised squad, CAN has introduced two changes, including Dev Khanal and Anil Shah. Both players exhibited stellar performances during the ODI series against Canada.

The ICC League 2 features eight participating countries, namely Nepal, Netherlands, Namibia, Canada, Oman, Scotland, the UAE, and the USA. The top four teams advancing from this league will secure spots in the World Cup qualifier matches.
