NC holding CC meeting to discuss Mahasamiti preparations

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) is holding a meeting of its Central Committee today as part of its preparations for the Mahasamiti meeting scheduled to be held in Godavari, Lalitpur, from February 19 to 22.

It should be noted that the Mahasamiti Publicity Subcommittee held a press conference on Wednesday in Sanepa, underscoring the expedited preparations for the meeting.

Min Bahadur Bishwakarma, the chief of the party’s publicity department, revealed that approximately 56 pages of policy proposals encompassing economic, social, religious, cultural, and political subjects would be presented to the Mahasamiti.

These proposals, intended to be transformed into a policy convention during the Mahasamiti Meeting, aim to address the current political landscape and instill confidence among the general public.

Bishwakarma emphasized the party’s commitment to remaining trustworthy, dynamic, and dedicated in every effort for systemic change.

The Mahasamiti meeting, slated to conclude with the policy convention, anticipates the participation of around 2,300 individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Bishwakarma shared that the gathering would resonate with slogans related to political stability, transformation, and novelty, underscoring the party’s principled commitment to freedom, justice, and equality.
