NAWALPARASI: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development, Prakash Man Singh, has assured of cooperation to develop model a district headquarters in Nawalpur.
DPM Singh said it during an interaction organized by Nawalpur District Coordination Committee here Saturday. He admitted that the process witnessed hindrance to cut down trees although budget was already managed.
Singh reiterated that he would take initiative to resolve issues after coordinating with the related minister and ministry officials.
At a time when the country adopted federal structure by ending the centuries old unitary system, people want to see a model district headquarters. Nawalpur is the new district created after determining the provinces.
“Although we want to intensify all projects at once, we can not avoid the rules and procedures,” he reminded.
On the occasion, Minister for Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives, JC Shrestha, complained that the service seekers were facing many problems due to delayed works for model district headquarters.
The district offices are scattered, forcing the service seekers to run from pillars to post, he added.
Member of the Gandaki Province Assembly, Damayanti Ruchal, said although they were following up with central government repeatedly, the pace of making model district headquarters was slow.
