Three people killed in road accident



LUMBINI: Three people were killed when a passenger jeep met with an accident near Tinau Bridge in Butwal on the East-West Highway.

According to Butwal area police office, 71-year-old Tilakram Khanal, his 67-year-old wife Gauri and 32-year-old jeep driver Hari Neupane, a resident of Butwal sub-metropolitan city-12 Naya village, died in the accident.

The accident took place last night when a Balero jeep (Lu. 2 Cha. 2480) carrying a patient for treatment in Butwal.

Gauri was being taken to Lumbini Regional Hospital Butwal for treatment when the jeep collided with the divider on road, said Bijayraj Pandit, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Butwal.
