Westerly winds influencing Nepal’s weather



KATHMANDU: Westerly winds have prevailed across the country, with a general influence from local winds in the hilly regions, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

As of Thursday morning, the weather in the hilly areas of the Gandaki and Koshi provinces is partly cloudy, while the rest of the country is mainly clear.

Some areas in the Terai are also experiencing mild storms.

This afternoon, the Divison has forecasted partial rain in the hilly areas of the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with mostly clear weather expected elsewhere.

There is also a possibility of light rain in one or two locations in the hilly areas of the Koshi and Gandaki regions.

Tonight, the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces will remain partly cloudy, while the rest of the country will continue to be mainly clear, as reported in the bulletin issued by the Division on Thursday morning.
