Girl missing in river found dead

TAPLEJUNG: A girl who had gone missing while swimming in a local stream has been found dead after ten days on Monday.

Aitarani Sherpa, 12, had disappeared while swimming in a local Maiwakhola rivulet at Khani of Maiwakhola rural municipality-2 in the district.

Sherpa’s dead body was retrieved from Odare of Athrai Triveni rural municipality-4, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police at District Police Office, Rabi Rawal.

However, Sandesh Baraili, 11, disappeared together with Sherpa is yet to be found. Search for the missing boy is continuous, Rawal added.
