Kathmandu witnesses temperature drop as monsoon retreats



KATHMANDU: With the withdrawal of the monsoon from the country, temperatures have started to drop.

In Kathmandu Valley, on Sunday, the minimum temperature fell to 14.7 degrees Celsius, down from 16.5 degrees Celsius the day before (Saturday).

The maximum temperature in the Valley also decreased slightly, from 28.3 degrees Celsius on Saturday to 28 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

Overall, temperatures are gradually declining across the country.

The monsoon completely left Nepal on October 12.

Meteorologists have indicated that the post-monsoon season has begun, marking the transition from monsoon to winter.

This period, which lasts until November, is characterized by gradually cooling temperatures.

Winter is expected to begin in December, contributing to the overall drop in temperature.
