Never before witnessed such wild support for monarchy: PM Oli
Prime Minister KP Oli has called on the people to remain resolute in their efforts to build a decisive national power, stressing the importance of maintaining the orderly path of republic, development, prosperity, peace, and good governance.
He warned against attempts to undermine these principles and prevent the country from progressing.
Spekaing at a program in the capital today, Prime Minister Oli, who also serves as Chairman of CPN-UML, expressed concern over the reactionary forces seeking to weaken the UML as a means of hindering change.
PM pledges to end street dependency of children by 2081
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has vowed to end the street dependency of children by 2081 BS.
In a message today on the occasion of the 60th Children’s Day, the PM asserted that the children will be relieved of their condition to remain on the streets.
“Some of the children are obliged to remain as the street children even today. We have committed to ending such situation of children to remain on the streets by 2081 BS,” PM Oli said.
PM Oli has also said that the government was making efforts to create a conducive environment for children by clearing their challenges.
NC and UML will retreat from ousting Deputy Speaker: Prachanda
Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has indicated that the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML parties may back away from their position on impeaching Deputy Speaker Indira Rana.
Speaking to reporters at Biratnagar Airport on Saturday, Prachanda stated, “The Deputy Speaker is an honest indigenous woman known for her integrity. She made a technical mistake, but we believe that the punishment should not extend to her removal. It is possible that the NC and UML will reconsider their stance on this issue.”
Nepal has immense potential for adventurous sports: President Paudel
President Ram Chandra Paudel has called on all sides concerned to disseminate positive message about Nepal’s adventurous sports in the international arena because there is huge potential for adventurous sports in Nepal.
Welcoming sports journalists and office-bearers, who arrived here from different countries to participate in the Congress of Asian Sports Journalists Federation (AIPS Asia), at Sheetal Niwas, President Paudel urged them to make publicity of Nepal in the world sports arena citing that Nepal is a favourable place of sports and athletes.
Koshi government committed to promoting children’s rights: CM Karki
Chief Minister of Koshi Province Hikmat Kumar Karki has said that the province government is committed to promoting children’s rights.
The Chief Minister said it was the government’s responsibility to effectively implement the constitutional and legal instruments made to defend child rights.
The children could be made responsible citizens for the future only if their talents were unveiled while safeguarding their rights, the Chief Minister stated.
Laws on children’s rights should be implemented: Vice President
Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav has laid emphasis on the implementation of the provisions stated in the Constitution of Nepal relating to children’s rights.
In a message today on the occasion the National Children’s Day, 2081, the Vice President has extended his congratulations and best wishes with deep affection to Nepali children.
Yadav said that this occasion should be construed as a moment to internalize the physical, mental and moral values of the children.
NAC increases flights at Tarigaun Airport
The Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has announced to operate its flight to Tarigaun Airport in Dang district on Tuesday.
Prior to this, the NAC had its flight to Tarigaun Airport only on Friday. The Station Manager of the NAC Dang Office, Bal Bahadur Sunar, said that the NAC will operate its flights on Tuesday and Friday from the coming week.
According to Station Manager Sunar, the NAC aircraft will make its flights at 12:00 noon on Friday and 2:00 on Tuesday afternoon from next week.
