PM pledges to end street dependency of children by this year



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has vowed to end the street dependency of children by 2081 BS.

In a message today on the occasion of the 60th Children’s Day, the PM asserted that the children will be relieved of their condition to remain on the streets.

“Some of the children are obliged to remain as the street children even today. We have committed to ending such situation of children to remain on the streets by 2081 BS,” PM Oli said.

PM Oli has also said that the government was making efforts to create a conducive environment for children by clearing their challenges.

As the country is marking National Children’s Day today with the slogan of “Investment on Children; Beginning of Secure Future”, the PM has extended best wishes to all children and their parents at home and abroad.

In his message, the PM has also expressed his concerns about children’s rights, their health care, education and love and affection to them.
