Simaltal mishap update: Two bodies recovered in Golaghat and Gaindakot identified as Indian passengers



KATHMANDU: The bodies found in Bharatpur-28 Golaghat, and Gaindakot have been identified as Indian passengers.

The body found in Golaghat has been confirmed as that of 37-year-old Jaiprakash Thakur from Bihar, India.

His identity was confirmed by his brother, Omprakash, according to DSP Bheshraj Rijal of the Chitwan District Police Office.

Thakur was a passenger on the Bagmati Province-03-001 Kha 2495 Ganpati Deluxe bus.

Similarly, the body found in Gaindakot-7, Thumsi has been identified as 30-year-old Sajad Ansari from Majhelia Thana, Betia, India.

His identity was confirmed by his brother, Meraj Hussain.

Ansari was a passenger on the Bagmati Province-03-006 Kha 1516 Angel Deluxe bus.

The families of the victims have also collected the three bodies found on Saturday after post-mortem examinations.
