NC seeks PM’s response to Home Minister’s allegations

KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has called for Prime Minister’s clarification regarding the recent statements made by Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane, targeting NC leaders in Parliament.

Speaking during today’s session of the House of Representatives, Nepali Congress Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak urged PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda to address the accusations leveled against NC leaders by Home Minister Lamichhane.

Lekhak stated, “The Prime Minister’s absence from the House is noticeable. Recently, Home Minister Lamichhane made derogatory remarks about our fellow leaders here. We demand the Prime Minister’s response to these allegations. Is he adequately prepared to address our concerns, or is he delaying his response? We need clarification.”

He further sought a ruling from Speaker Devraj Ghimire to update the House regarding the Prime Minister’s visit to India and the President’s international engagements.
