Heat wave likely in central and west Terai

KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has issued a warning advising people in central and west Terai to take precautions as the regions are expected to face excessively hot weather over the next three days.

The Department has cautioned residents of Kanchanpur, Kailali, Bardiya, Banke, and Dang districts to remain vigilant, citing the possibility of a heat wave.

In the Tarai region, temperatures have soared above 40 degrees Celsius for the past few days.
