Rain likely in Koshi and Bagmati provinces today



KATHMANDU: Currently, the eastern part of the country is affected by the monsoon system, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.

The rest of the country has partial influence from local wind, westerly wind, and a low-pressure area around Bihar, India.

As of Friday morning, the weather in Koshi Province is generally variable.

It is partly to mostly cloudy in the hilly areas of the country, including Madhes and Bagmati provinces.

The rest of the country is experiencing mostly clear weather with partly cloudy skies.

According to the Division, there is light rain with thunder and lightning in a few places in Koshi Province and a couple of places in the hilly areas of Bagmati Province.

This afternoon, it will be partly to mostly cloudy in the hilly areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

The Division has expected that the weather to remain mostly clear in the rest of the region.

In the afternoon, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in a few places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and at a couple of places in the rest of the country, including Madhes Province.

Tonight, the weather will remain partly cloudy to mostly clear in the hilly areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
