KATHMANDU: Ahead of the by-elections slated for April 27, the CPN (Unified Socialist) has appointed seasoned leaders to spearhead election efforts in key constituencies.

Former Prime Minister Jhalnath Khanal has been entrusted with overseeing the election in Ilam constituency No. 2 of the House of Representatives, while Party Secretary Garima Shah will lead the charge for the Provincial Assembly member election in Bajhang-1 of Sudurpaschim Province.

Dilu Pant, a member of the Politburo, shared that the appointed election commanders will be responsible for galvanizing leaders and party members in their respective districts and provinces to ensure successful participation in the elections.

Additionally, the party has formed a task group under the leadership of Vice-President Pramesh Hamal, with General Secretary Ghanashyam Bhusal and Secretary Jeevanram Shrestha serving as members.

This group will oversee and facilitate necessary arrangements in the designated constituencies.
