KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli is inaugurating the district convention of CPN-UML Kanchanpur today.
According to UML Kanchanpur Secretary Pallavaraj Bhatta, the inauguration ceremony is slated for 1:00 pm in Mahendranagar.
Prior to this event, Chairman Oli is expected to arrive in Dhangadhi, Kailali, at 9:30 am, where he will commence his day by inaugurating buildings at three different locations in Kanchanpur.
Commencing his itinerary, Oli will inaugurate the ward office of Dodhara Chandani Municipality-6, followed by an inspection of the construction site for the dry port.
Subsequently, Oli is also scheduled to inaugurate the building of Madan Bhandari Basic School in Mahendranagar.
Amid the proceedings, the spotlight is also on the race for the UML Kanchanpur District Chair, with four aspirants vying for the position.
The contenders include Laxmi Budha, Pallavaraj Bhatta, Ashok Chand and Hira Chand.
A total of 464 representatives have been selected to partake in the district convention.
