Four arrested with 594 kg of cannabis in Dhankuta

DHANKUTA: The police have apprehended four individuals with an illegal stash of around 594 kg cannabis near Sangurigadhi-6, Bhedetar Chowk, Dhankuta.

The arrested individuals are Naeem Khan, 44, and an 18-year-old teenager from Arariya, Bihar, Lakhan Mahato, 70, from Arariya, Kaliyagunj, India and Gayananda Mandal from Rangeli-7, Morang.

The Bhedetar police discovered the cannabis during an inspection of a petrol tanker heading to Biratnagar from Mulaghat.

The police are currently conducting investigations for further details.
