ACC Women’s Premier Cup: Kuwait elects to bat first against Nepal in quarterfinal clash



KATHMANDU: In the highly anticipated quarterfinal match of the ACC Women’s Premier Cup, Kuwait has won the toss and decided to bat first against Nepal.

Nepal, maintaining an impeccable record in the group stage, secured their spot in the quarterfinals as the group topper.

Notably, they achieved victories against Hong Kong and Bhutan, each with eight wickets to spare.

In their most recent match, Nepal showcased their dominance by defeating Maldives with an impressive 214-run margin.

On the other hand, Kuwait displayed a commendable performance in the group stage as well, securing victories against Singapore and Myanmar.

However, they faced a setback against Thailand, suffering a defeat by 96 runs.

With both teams eyeing a spot in the semifinals, the stage is set for an exciting showdown.

Out of the 16 participating teams, including Nepal, Thailand, Kuwait, UAE, Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Hong Kong, eight have advanced to the quarterfinals, intensifying the competition in the premier cup.
