Terai expected to experience persistent fog today



KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecast Division has reported a partial influence of western winds currently affecting Nepal.

As of now, the skies are clear in most parts of the Sudurpaschim, Lumbini, Karnali, and Gandaki provinces, with some areas experiencing partial to normal weather changes.

However, the Terai region is shrouded in dense fog.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to stay clear in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while other areas are anticipated to remain unaffected.

The Division has also indicated the likelihood of light snowfall in certain locations in the high hills and Himalayan areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

Most of the Terai is expected to experience persistent fog, potentially impacting daily life, health, and transportation, including air services.

As temperatures continue to drop nationwide, the Division has urged people to take necessary precautions to mitigate the effects of the cold weather.
