Cricketer Brian Lara arrives in Nepal to watch NPL



KATHMANDU: Former West Indies cricketer Brian Lara has arrived in Nepal to watch the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL).

The Nepal Cricket Association (KIA) has provided details about the arrangements for watching the NPL.

The legendary West Indies cricketer landed in Kathmandu on Friday morning.

Lara arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport at 9:15 am, before heading to Kirtipur to witness the Nepal Premier League (NPL) matches.

The 55-year-old left-handed batsman played 131 Tests, scoring 11,953 runs at an impressive average of 52.88.

Lara holds the record for the highest score in a single Test innings, having made 400* runs against England in 2004.

Having retired from international cricket in 2007, he also accumulated 10,405 runs in 299 ODIs at an average of 40.48, with a highest score of 169 runs.
