FNJ condemns killing of journalist Bhul

KATHMANDU: The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has called for a thorough investigation into the murder of journalist Suresh Bhul and urged the authorities to bring those responsible to justice.

In a press statement issued on Wednesday, the FNJ condemned the killing of Bhul, the joint secretary of the National Dalit Journalists’ Association.

Bhul was brutally attacked in the afternoon of November 10, allegedly by a group of individuals, following a minor dispute.

He succumbed to his injuries the next morning while receiving treatment at Nisarga Hospital in Dhangadhi.

While paying tributes to the late journalist, the FNJ has extended heartfelt condolences to Bhul’s grieving family.

A mission team, led by FNJ Central Secretary Hemkarna BK, has been dispatched to investigate the incident. The team is assigned to submit its report within the next 15 days. It has already commenced its work on Wednesday.
