Church Boys United eliminated from AFC Challenge League after defeat to Paro FC

KATHMANDU: Nepali league champions Church Boys United have been eliminated from the AFC Challenge League after being defeated by Bhutanese team Paro FC in the playoffs today.

In the match held at Dashrath Stadium in Tripureshwor, Kathmandu, Paro FC secured a 2-1 victory over Church Boys United, earning a place in the group stage of the League.

This win marks a turnaround for Paro FC, which was eliminated in the previous season after a 3-2 loss to Machhindra Club in the first round of the AFC Cup.

The group stage matches are scheduled for October 26 and November 2 on a home-and-away basis.
