Body of passenger who fell into Trishuli found in Narayani

KATHMANDU: A body has been found in the Narayani River at Golaghat, Bharatpur Metropolitan City-28, Chitwan.

On Friday, amidst ongoing search efforts for passengers of the two buses that plunged into the Trishuli River at Simaltal, a male body was discovered in the middle of the Narayani River.

According to Chitwan Police Chief SP Bhavesh Rimal, locals spotted the body floating in the river and informed the police.

The body is reported to be of a man aged around 30-35 years.

An ATM card from Global IME Bank bearing the name Rishi Pal Sah was found in the deceased’s purse.

It has been confirmed that the man was Rishi Sah, an Indian national. His identification was made based on a ration card found with him, as stated by the District Administration Office, Chitwan.

However, it is not yet confirmed if the body is that of a victim from the bus accident.

The body was found nearly 50 kilometers downstream from the site where the buses fell into the river.
