PM expresses confidence in ending house deadlock through political consensus

CHITWAN: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has conveyed his optimism that the deadlock in the Parliament will soon be resolved.

PM Dahal, who also serves as the chairman of CPN (Maoist Centre), made these remarks while addressing party cadres in eastern Chitwan today.

He informed that both formal and informal discussions are underway with party leaders regarding the resumption of House proceedings, and he anticipates positive outcomes very soon.

Furthermore, he shared that they aim to reach a conclusion to end the House deadlock by this evening.

Addressing another concern, the Prime Minister clarified that there is no ambiguity regarding the continuity of the present ruling coalition partners.

He affirmed their commitment to forging consensus to pass the government’s policies, programs, and the upcoming budget.

The PM emphasized the importance of aligning policies and programs with the budget and highlighted the government’s focus on prioritizing the agriculture sector and promoting agro-based industries.

“The budget will address the needs of marginalized, disadvantaged, and impoverished individuals and sectors,” added the PM.

Prime Minister Dahal also highlighted the government’s effective efforts in crime control and the successful acquisition of 143 ropanis of land at Lalita Niwas under the possession of the Nepal Government.
