ACC Premier Cup: Nepal sets 211-run target against Qatar

Dipendra's explosive innings: 64 runs off 21 balls, 6 sixes in 6 balls



KATHMANDU: In the second match of the ACC Premier Cup, Nepal has presented a target of 211 runs against Qatar.

Batting first after winning the toss, Nepal has scored 210 runs losing 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Dipendra Singh Airee showcased explosive batting, playing a magnificent innings of 64 runs off 21 balls, including hitting 6 sixes in the final over off Kamran Khan’s bowling. He also smashed 3 fours and 7 sixes in his innings.

Opening batsman Asif Sheikh contributed 52 runs for Nepal, hitting 6 fours in his 41-ball innings.

Kushal Malla also displayed explosive batting, scoring 35 runs off 18 balls, including hitting two fours and three sixes.

Similarly, captain Rohit Paudel contributed 18 runs and Kushal Bhurtel added 12 runs.

For Qatar, Himanshu Rathod and Musawar Shah took 3 wickets each.

In their previous match played on Friday, Nepal had defeated Malaysia by five wickets.

Nepal is also the former champion of ACC Premier Cup.
