KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), which had risen by 15 points on Monday, saw a significant decline on Tuesday, the third trading day of the week.
NEPSE index dropped by 30.56 points, closing at 2,070.59 points.
The shares of all sectors experienced a decline, with insurance, development banks, hotels and tourism, production and processing, and microfinance groups facing high losses.
Shares of Gurans Microfinance Company witnessed the most substantial decrease by 10% among all companies.
Overall, the market witnessed positive circuit breaks in the shares of Bottlers Nepal, Samaj Microfinance, and Super Mai Hydro Power Company.
Today’s trading involved the exchange of 12,100,000 shares with a total transaction value of Rs 4,666,000,000.
