One dies in assault in Dohori in Attariya

DHANGADHI: A person lost his life in an altercation that occurred in a Dohori in Attariya Bazaar.

The deceased is identified as Shyam Deuba, 42 years old, from Gulariya-4, Krishnapur. The fatal incident took place in a Dohori on Wednesday night, January 25.

After the incident, family members immediately rushed the injured Deuba to the Nisarg Hospital in Dhangadhi for treatment. Unfortunately, despite receiving medical attention for serious injuries, he succumbed to his injuries in the hospital, according to Kuldip Chand, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Kailali.

Chand stated that the family informed the police about the incident only after Deuba’s demise at the hospital.

Following the tragic event, the family had filed a public complaint at the Area Police Office, Malakheti, informed Chand.

He further mentioned that an investigation into the incident is underway, and until Saturday, six individuals have been taken under control for investigation.
