Chandragiri car mishap update: Death toll reaches five



KATHMANDU: The death toll in the Chandragiri car mishap has reached five.

According to DSP Narayan Adhikari of Thankot Police Circle, four people, including Omkar Nidhi Tiwari, 67, Kalpana Tiwari, 64 of Maitidevi, Kathmandu and Dr. Mahesh Kumar Gautam and Priyansh Gautam of Lazimpat,  lost their lives at the accident site and the injured six-year-old Smarika Gautam died while undergoing treatment in hospital.

The preliminary investigation shows that the car had gone out of control and veered off the road 500 meters downhill, the police said.
