KATHMANDU: The Prime Minister Cup Men’s Cricket Tournament is all set to kick off today.

Regarded as the most prestigious among all domestic cricket competitions organized by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), this tournament promises to showcase top-tier cricketing talent.

Ten teams, each representing the seven provinces and three prominent clubs, will be participating in the tournament, which will be played in the One Day International (ODI) format. A total of 45 matches are scheduled for the league stage, with the top two teams securing direct entry into the finals.

The tournament will unfold across three venues: TU Cricket Ground, Mulpani, and Siddhartha Cricket Ground in Bhairahawa.

The opening clash is scheduled between Nepal Police Club and Bagmati Province at TU Cricket Ground, marking the commencement of this highly anticipated cricketing extravaganza. Winning the toss, Nepal Police Club has elected to bat first.

Cricket enthusiasts and fans can expect thrilling matches and stellar performances as the teams compete for the prestigious title.
