Five killed in Jajarkot jeep accident



JAJARKOT: Five people, including a one-month-old baby, died in a jeep accident in Jajarkot last night.

A Bolero jeep bearing number Ga.3 Ch.9845 met with an accident on the Birkhola Kaina-Kadke road section of Nalgad Municipality-3 in Jajarkot at 11 pm last night.

The District Police Office, Jajarkot, stated that five people died in the jeep with seven passengers.

According to the police, the deceased are Indrajit Thapa (driver), Shila Pun, Sarada Thapa, Laxmi Pun Roka, and Laxmi Pun’s one-month-old son Alochan Roka, all residents of Karuwa, Nalgad Municipality-3, Jajarkot.

They died during treatment at Nalgad Municipal Hospital, according to the police.

According to police, the accident occurred when the jeep suddenly lost its brakes and fell about 700 to 800 meters off the road.
