604 industries shut down in Makawanpur



HETAUDA: As many as 610 industries have been shut down in Makawanpur in the fiscal year 2080/81 BS due to several reasons, including economic recession.

According to the Makawanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry office, 268 industries and 336 commercial firms have been removed from the list in the fiscal year 2080/81 BS.

It may be noted that 283 firms related to industry and commerce were not renewed cut off from the list in Makawanpur in the fiscal year 2079÷80 BS.

Office chief Ram Prasad Bhusal said that the economic slowdown, lack of loan investment from banks and financial institutions and inadequate capital are some of the reasons for the rise in the number of industries.

The registration of new industries and commercial enterprises in Makawanpur has decreased in the fiscal year 2080÷81 BS.

Office Chief Bhusal said that 701 new industries including 366 towards industry category and 335 towards commerce category have been registered in this fiscal year.
