Landslide obstructs Karnali Highway; passengers stranded

KARNALI: The Karnali Highway has been obstructed due to landslides.

Bir Bahadur GT, the Information Officer at the Road Division Office in Jumla, stated that the road has been obstructed following last night’s heavy rain in Gagnekhola and Ismode, located in Shubkalika Rural Municipality-1 of Kalikot.

Ongoing landslides have made traffic on the highway extremely difficult.

The Office has advised travelers to only proceed after checking current road conditions.

The police have stated that continuous heavy rain is hampering efforts to clear the landslides, leaving vehicles and their passengers stranded due to the road blockage.
