NEPSE index surges past 2,900, ends at 2,931.65 points with record-breaking Rs. 27.24 billion turnover

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index extended its bullish trend today, closing at 2,931.65 points—a notable increase of 70.81 points or 2.47% from yesterday.

This follows a strong showing in the previous session, when the index rose by 94.53 points, signaling continued positive momentum in the market.

The trading session started with the index at 2,876.48 points. During the day, it experienced fluctuations, reaching a low of 2,876.46 points and a high of 2,937.40 points before concluding at its final value.

The day saw remarkable trading activity, with 339 scrips traded through 283,047 transactions.

This led to an unprecedented turnover of Rs. 27.24 billion, surpassing the previous day’s record of Rs. 25.77 billion.
