KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has stated that monsoon winds are currently affecting the country, with the monsoon low-pressure line situated around its normal position.

The Division has noted a general change in weather conditions across all provinces.

Currently, some areas of Koshi and Bagmati provinces, as well as a few locations in the remaining provinces, are experiencing light to moderate rain.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy nationwide.

Light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is possible in various areas of all provinces.

There is a chance of heavy rain in isolated spots within the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

Tonight, the weather will remain partly to mostly cloudy across the country.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning may occur in a few places within the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as one or two locations in the remaining provinces.

Heavy rain could also affect isolated areas in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Over the next 24 hours, there is a possibility for heavy rain in one or two places in the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

The Division has advised the public to take precautions to mitigate the risks and damage associated with possible disasters such as flash floods, landslides, and erosion in these areas.
