KHANDBARI: A landslide in Chichila Rural Municipality-3 of Sankhuwasabha district claimed one life and injured two others. The victims were buried in the landslide on Tuesday night.
The deceased has been identified as Ganga Ram Tharu from Ghorabhitta, Kakadvitta.
He was working as a laborer at the Arun III Hydropower Project, according to police.
The injured, Umesh Karki and Govinda Tharu from Makwanpur district, were also working on the project, police reported. The incident occurred while they were sleeping.
Out of the 14 rooms built for the workers’ shelter under the project, three were buried in the landslide.
