Unified Socialist holding Standing Committee meeting today

KATHMANDU: The Unified Socialist is holding its Standing Committee meeting today as well.

The meeting which began on Saturday at the party’s central office will continue today as some leaders are yet to speak, said deputy general secretary and head of the central publicity department of the party, Jagannath Khatiwada.

In Saturday’s meeting, Unified Socialist Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal expressed his opinion on the current political situation and national and international context while General Secretary Ghanashyam Bhusal informed the meeting participants about the agenda including preparations for the upcoming general convention.

Similarly, standing committee members Sadhya Bahadur Bhandari, Shri Prasad Sah, Rajendra Rai and Madhav Paudel expressed their views in the meeting while the rest of the leaders will speak in the meeting on Sunday.

A Politburo meeting will be held this evening following the standing committee meeting, said Politburo member Dilu Pant.
