KATHMANDU: Following Papua New Guinea’s (PNG) convincing victory over Hong Kong, China by 10 wickets, PNG is now poised to compete against Nepal in the finals of the Tri-Nations T20I Series.
The highly anticipated final match is scheduled to take place on Wednesday.
Having won the toss, Hong Kong opted to bat first and set a target of 122 runs for PNG to chase down.
Zeeshan Ali emerged as the top scorer for Hong Kong, contributing a commendable 55 runs to the team’s total.
In the second innings, PNG’s opening batsmen, Sese Bau and Tony Ura, delivered outstanding performances, each scoring half-centuries for the team with 61 and 51 runs respectively.
Earlier today, Nepal secured their spot in the finals by defeating PNG by 85 runs in a thrilling encounter.
