JSP convenes parliamentary party meeting for 4:00 PM today

KATHMANDU: The Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Nepal has scheduled a parliamentary party meeting for 4:00 PM today to deliberate on the party’s stance regarding Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’s upcoming vote of confidence.

Prime Minister Dahal is set to seek a vote of confidence tomorrow, Wednesday, in the House of Representatives.

Purna Basnet, the chief of the party’s central publicity and publication department, stated that the meeting will determine the party’s position regarding the Prime Minister’s efforts to secure the vote of confidence in the House.

The decision by the Nepali Congress to withdraw its support from the Dahal-led government following his decision to dissolve the alliance with the NC and form a coalition with the CPN (UML) and other parties necessitated the Prime Minister to seek the vote of confidence.
