KATHMANDU: A partial influence of westerly winds is noticeable in Nepal, signaling potential weather shifts across the country.

The Weather Forecast Division has reported a partial change in the mountainous regions, with clear conditions prevailing in the rest of the area at the moment.

This afternoon, partly to generally cloudy conditions are expected in hilly areas of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Despite the altered weather, the rest of the territory is anticipated to remain mainly clear, with no expected rainfall throughout the day, as per the 6 am Monday weather forecast bulletin.

However, in the afternoon, there is a chance of light snowfall in select locations in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, notes the Weather Forecasting Division.

As night falls, the Division has predicted generally cloudy conditions in the hilly areas of the country, with a possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
