KATHMANDU: Today, the nation observes Prithvi Jayanti and National Unity Day, honoring the 302nd birth anniversary of Prithvi Narayan Shah, the visionary founder of modern Nepal.

In a poignant ceremony, President Ram Chandra Poudel paid heartfelt homage to Prithvi Narayan Shah, underscoring his pivotal role in the unification of Nepal.

The President adorned the life-size statue of Shah, situated prominently in front of Singha Durbar in Kathmandu, with a symbolic garland as a gesture of reverence.

This commemorative event stands as a testament to the enduring significance of Prithvi Jayanti, celebrating the legacy of a leader whose vision and efforts shaped the course of Nepal’s history.
