Prithvi Narayan Shah’s divine speech still relevant: President Paudel



KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel has viewed the divine speeches of Prithvi Narayan Shah are still relevant and popular.

Giving a message of best wishes on the occasion of the Prithvi Jayanti and National Unity Day today, President Paudel reminded that the divine speeches are guidelines on national economy, patriotism, diplomacy and foreign relations.

The President paid tribute to Prithvi Narayan Shah, the founder of modern Nepal, on his 302nd birth anniversary, and extended best wishes to all Nepali sisters and brothers living in the country and abroad.

“Prithvi Narayan Shah unified the scattered principalities and shaped a modern Nepal. At different times, various heroes continued his campaign of building modern Nepal,” President Paudel said, adding that we must not forget the contributions of our ancestors for us to realize the present situation.

He wished the Day inspired all to work together for peace, prosperity, territorial integrity, national unity and sovereignty.
