Deuba forms directive committees for sister organizations’ conventions

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has formed directive committees to organize the general conventions of the party’s fraternal organizations.

The conventions of organizations including the Nepal Students’ Union (NSU), Nepal Tarun Dal, Nepal Women’s Association, Nepal Peasants’ Association, Nepal Dalit Association, Nepal Democratic Sports Association, Nepal Prajatantra Senani Sangh, Nepal Ex-Servicemen’s Association, National Democratic Disabled Association, and Nepal Tharu Association must be held by Chaitra 2081.

To ensure this, central directive committees have been established to coordinate with the existing ad hoc committees.

Deuba has appointed Deputy General Secretary Jeevan Pariyar as the coordinator of the Nepal Dalit Association directive committee, with Laxmi Pariyar and Shanti Pariyar BK as members.

Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat, the party spokesperson, will lead the Nepal Women’s Association directive committee, with Pushpa Bhusal and Rukmini Koirala as members.

Similarly, Ramesh Rijal will serve as the coordinator for the Nepal Peasants’ Association, committee, alongside members Rajendra Kumar KC and Anjani Shrestha. NP Saud has been chosen to lead the Nepal Ex-Servicemen’s Association committee, with Tek Prasad Gurung and Mahendra Kumari Limbu as members.

The coordinator for the Nepal Democratic Sports Association committee is Mohan Bahadur Basnet, with Umesh Jung Rayamajhi and Ganesh Lama as members. Madhu Acharya will lead the National Democratic Disabled Association committee, joined by Saraswati Bajimaya and Madan Krishna Shrestha.

Uday Shamsher Rana has been appointed the coordinator for the Nepal Tharu Association committee, with Dr. Gopal Dahit and Yogendra Chaudhary as members. For the Nepal Prajatantra Senani Sangh, Prof. Dr. Govind Raj Pokhrel will serve as the coordinator, while Mukta Kumari Yadav and Kantika Saijuwaal will be members.

These committees have been tasked with ensuring the successful organization of conventions within the specified timeframe.
